I will likely come across a staggering amount of job opportunities and employment options for a career in sales, and I will find that my education, skills, and knowledge are high in demand. One of the biggest sectors for sales jobs is the financial sector. Here, you will find sales jobs in investment banking, insurance, real estate, and loan lending. e. INTERACTIVE ADVERTISEMENT MODULE

This is a what i assume to the future of outdoor advertising industry in the long run in India and it is receiving quite a massive response in developed countries. My conclusion is based upon the first law of marketing "A connecting advertisement sells goods at the best".When people get to make it a talking piece it is no more an advertisement agent , it is trend by itself. And eventually it sells. And talking specifically about our business , it is the idea/trend we should be at the back of.Because the law is so simple in outdoor advertising industry ,'whoever does it first is most likely the leader' so if followed well smartly it is the golden duck of Indian OAI . i am afraid of getting into number in the event you you not interested in the topic. Also i believe that it is project like thing which can not explain in a 1500 words essay , if attempted so will only miss the crucial statistical information to support my stand , in other words will project a hyped utopia .

Advertising at chennai

My Turf

Chennai is one of the most profitable city for OOH given the scale of the city. Question of being the 'right place' is the equation .i believe that how we frame our strategies is important rather than analysing the feasibility of market scale in India's third biggest city .
The are the factors by which chennai is very different .

1)Language

(i request you to read this factor in a pure business perspective ,not to involve in linguistic prejudice )

In every other city in India other than chennai, having an advertising content in Hindi is either helpful or just ignored. But in Tamil Nadu, hindi is hated , it is still unfathomable for other state people .Let me give you some statistics 48% of students in TN study in tamil medium and for most tamil is the second language .And there is a law that no other language can be thought to students till 8th standard (CBSE is given exception ,but only 0.3 % of students in TN and 3.8% students in Chennai study under CBSE).most people choose to study German or French rather than hindi. But there is also the hate factor, every state government history book and Tamil book will mark hindi as an enemy language. It is mainly because Tamil nadu is ruled by anti-Hindi parties from 1963 ,and the agitation dates back to a century ( please refer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Hindi_agitations_of_Tamil_Nadu) and this agitation is fueled in the recent past by Sri Lankan genocide .

Thus by no means even a single letter of hindi should be used in logos, advertisement, posters or whatever forms of advertisement. People from other parts of india try to pose an glandular image but are actually creating a negative impact. When make your advertising easy for two, you’re actually losing 10 people .This is a ground reality everybody fail to address.

2)GETHOS

Every metropolitan city has ghettos , same as big as dharavi.there are ghettos/slums in the exclaves of the city navi mumbai or as in ahmedabad. But there is something very typical about the slums in chennai. they are systematically created opposed to natural formation or of geographical reasons.Chennai(or madras) is first city for British to build fort(St.george fort) and rule directly thus systematically they made all low level workers occupy the north side of the fort and the business people and high level worker in the south .In most of the cities a slum/ghetto will be adjacent to a normal or in coastal cities the ghettos lie near the shore .But not in chennai there is literally a border line between the two worlds.

This is very important for OOH but many don't understand it, a normal systematic analysis will not explain this .it will explain the consumption pattern and spending style in a group analysis data but not the understanding of the area .An uneducated landlord may earn 5 lakhs per month but will not buy an mac ,this is nowhere stereotyping (I’m actually from my north chennai ) this is a consumer pattern that is lying below the numbers .Given this understanding , our marketing strategy for chennai will be radically different .

3) Legal complexities

In chennai there is a very special ban for posters .In detail, it means we can’t use any posters in the prime roads of the city. (http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/chennai/civic-sense-writing-on-the-wall/article3449810.ece)
So MNC ,FMCG are turning towards indoor advertising but they are not reaching quite a success there. Thus the niche for outdoor branding exists and is increasing , hence the city is ready to move into digital outdoor marketing .there are many small OOH businesses in chennai but not any big to invest huge numbers .Malls and cinema screens are now used to advertise .But there are not at all organized ,the reason national player s fail in chennai in not understanding market sentiment .And local players are not able to gain monopoly of their limited capital and narrow concepts.
And advertisement laws in chennai is very complex and unless you have a legal adviser or legal consultant ,it is impossible to conduct large scale OOH in chennai , small fishes can’t afford this cost neither they tend to look around.
Chennai is the safest and most preferable place for tourism for expats and foreign tourist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Chennai#Tourists.27_arrival) but they are not well utilized by the market because of their limited understanding of the existing players .Many high-end brands are keen to sell to the tourist but are unable to find a player of that caliber ,with standardized business setting. Thus I believe even if this aspect is not to a big populous ,it can make big money ,given the nature of the brands in the game.
To add OOH advertisement in the sub-urban of chennai is of huge potential but not yet explored, many start-ups and MNCs are looking out for an organized business entity.

in-eccentric

I am sorry that it has been a while but there is a reason why , i dont want to fool  you with 'financial stuff' that is just name sake. truly , it is difficult to find , there are real stuff on SENSEX , one of them is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q3uIjKSGuY, this thing is these stuff are good enough to trade daily but are not here for that , we are here to change the rules of the game , so please bear with me, i am coming back in no time with stuff you will really look to. it just taking me time to frame it well, but when i 'm open , it will be nonstop for some 2 weeks,

SENSEX 30,000 before budget

First sight utopia

At the first sight it may seem to be Utopian , but it is not . of course not.

let us assume that the budget will be presented in one month time.

so lets see the market before 20 days , ( exactly from election day)
at the very result day(16th) , the sensex hit 24,000 mark
today(11th) the sensex is 25600,
thus 25 days 1600 points and that's just exactly 6.6 percent increase .
so charts are telling us that India having a single party rule after some damn 30 years , sensex just moved 1,600 points BUT some great market scholars are telling us that within 30 calendar days  ,the market will hit 30,000. man!!!, believe me , the guy who said that was a worse writer than me.
So ,technically speaking, despite all the idiots yelling at the channels, the market is just pushing side wise .there was never never an sharp increase trend in this stuff up.

but here comes some real stuff .

it is possible.considering the fact that the budget day is not fixed we can have some time like 35 days from now, that would be 26 working days at BSE(fortunately these 2 months have no national holiday).
this week could well be said as a typical week
if we just take june 5 and 6 into account , that's really an act of fooling our self.
the whole week up there makes sense, people take advantage of low prices and book profit at highs , that's the norm , but looking at the moving trend and assuming that no idiot in the cabinet makes a folly statement , we can very well bet the trend to be stable and immitate the present flow .

having said that,

lets do math, i consider the sensex on a average moves 700 per 5 days (a working week).
it is just the very low of the average deviation , taking int account that the last week the market just flew with 900 points, this number(700) is by no means a overstated mean figure.

so then , 700 x 5 weeks(25 market days) = 3,500

considering the fact that the sensex today is 25,473.89 even adding a rough of 3500 to it ,that would just be 29,000 .so not possible???

no!!!it is possible, i am not like on day , it will all boom to sky from nowhere But,
nowadays there are  not no major changes happening in the "main days" , saw the result , no body on earth told that BJP get 10 seats excess of the half way mark all by itself , YES NOBODY on earth.but the strongest ever imaginable in a modern india got no great response.

meaning, people(at least the high end players) today are not fools to just buy madly and of course , the items of the financial budget will be well "predicted" and "debated" by folks at TV and papers. to add . as all years, "trustable insider information"will be out before a couple of days. That's the reason exactly why i say it is all POSSIBLE of the market to reach out to 30,000 mark

bottom line:
30,000 mark is possible but it is not obvious from today's perspective, moreover who knows something  may just happen to the internal market of hong kong , or post election news in Europe, report from IMF , whatsoever happens rising the bull , oh yes 30,000 is achievable.but  not obvious .
